Remote cyber exercise portal www.cyberlab.ge

Partner Organization(s): - European Commission's EaPconnect project

Status: Ongoing/Permanent

Project Brief Description: Today, information and cybersecurity have become extremely important for the stable functioning and development of countries' electronic infrastructure. Taking this into account, in cooperation with the Data Exchange Agency of the Ministry of Justice of Georgia's Computer Emergency Response Team (cert.dga.gov.ge) and the Georgian Research and Educational Networking Association "GRENA", a remote cyber exercise portal www.cyberlab.ge was created.

The portal is primarily intended for students of information technology (IT) at Georgian universities so that they can deepen their practical skills in detecting and responding to cyber incidents. The portal will also be useful for IT personnel working in the public and private sectors and will help them respond quickly and effectively to cyber incidents in their organization's computer infrastructure.

The exercises hosted on the remote portal cover the following topics: cryptography; analysis of malicious code from real incidents; analysis of log files of cyber incidents on real servers; reverse engineering; network traffic analysis; cyber analytics.

The work on creating the portal is supported by the European Commission's EaPconnect project.
