Tamar Zodelava and Sandro Tsirekidze met with the Chair of the Council of Europe's Committee on Digital Governance.
Within the framework of the UN Public Service Forum, Deputy Minister of Justice Tamar Zodelava and Chairman of the Digital Governance Agency Sandro Tsirekidze met with Mario Hernandez Ramos, Chair of the Council of Europe’s Committee on Digital Governance (CDNET). The main topic of the meeting was the Council of Europe Framework Convention on Artificial Intelligence and Human Rights, Democracy and the Rule of Law, which is the first international legally binding document in the field of artificial intelligence. The parties discussed issues related to the process of Georgia's ratification of the Convention, prospects for developing a national framework for artificial intelligence governance, and opportunities for support from the Council of Europe. It was noted that Georgia is actively participating in the work of CDNET and is interested in further deepening cooperation, including in the direction of responsible and human rights-based use of artificial intelligence. At the end of the meeting, the parties expressed their readiness to continue active cooperation in the future, which will contribute to the implementation of European standards in the field of artificial intelligence governance in Georgia and the strengthening of relevant institutional capacities.

The Digital Governance Agency and representatives of Romania discussed the creation of a cyber diplomacy center.
The Chairman of the Digital Governance Agency, Sandro Tsirekidze, held a working meeting with Adrian-Victor Vevera, General Director of the National Institute for R&D in Informatics (ICI Bucharest) of Romania. The parties discussed ongoing and planned projects within the framework of the Memorandum of Understanding signed between the Digital Governance Agency and ICI Bucharest. The conversation focused on deepening cooperation in the areas of digital governance, data management, cybersecurity, and technological education. Special attention was paid to the prospects of cooperation in the field of cyber diplomacy. The parties discussed the possibility of establishing a joint cyber diplomacy center in the region, which will contribute to strengthening cybersecurity, strategic communication, and international cooperation. The discussion also touched upon regional cooperation and opportunities for strengthening digital connectivity. The parties discussed sharing experience, developing modern data management systems, and initiatives that will facilitate closer technological cooperation between the countries of the region. The working meeting was held within the framework of the UN Public Service Forum taking place in Tbilisi and was also attended by Nino Gozalishvili, Head of the Agency’s Digital Governance and Cybersecurity Strategic Planning and International Relations Department, and Dimitri Gugunava, Head of the Cybersecurity Strategic Planning Service of the same department.
