The Digital Governance Agency, within the framework of its cybersecurity awareness project, is launching an online hackathon - Cyber Autumn 2026. Registration for the hackathon begins on September 15. Any interested person who wishes to test their knowledge and practical skills in the field of cybersecurity can participate in the hackathon. Participants will have to complete various types of practical tasks, including: Web Application Testing; Log Analysis; Incident Response; Malware Analysis; Other relevant areas of cybersecurity. For participation, you will need: A computer with the Windows operating system (a virtual environment is preferred); A computer with the Linux operating system (Kali Linux is preferred); Internet access. A memorandum of cooperation in the field of digital governance has been signed between the Ministry of Justice of Georgia and the Ministry of the Interior and Safety of the Republic of Korea. Within the framework of his visit to the Republic of Korea, Minister of Justice of Georgia Paata Salia met with Minister of the Interior and Safety Lee Sang-min. During the conversation, the parties discussed close cooperation in digital development. At the meeting, the Minister of Justice of Georgia noted that the partnership between Georgia and the Republic of Korea is important, particularly in matters of artificial intelligence, innovative technologies, electronic services, and the development of digital governance. "We are particularly interested in the concept of democratic governance based on artificial intelligence. The main idea of this approach is that artificial intelligence should not be just a technological tool, but should serve to increase accessibility to services and ensure a faster response from the state to citizens' requests," said the Minister of Justice of Georgia. Paata Salia highlighted Georgia's significant progress in recent years in the areas of digital governance, electronic services, cybersecurity, and information security. According to the Minister of the Interior and Safety of the Republic of Korea, Lee Sang-min, the cooperation between the two countries will bring significant benefits to every citizen of Georgia: "We had a very good meeting with the Minister of Justice of Georgia, Paata Salia. We had a fruitful discussion on how to deepen digital cooperation between our two countries and our ministries, especially in the direction of accelerating digital development and introducing artificial intelligence technologies." At the end of the meeting, a memorandum of cooperation was signed between the Ministry of Justice of Georgia and the Ministry of the Interior and Safety of the Republic of Korea. The document provides for the creation of a Digital Governance Cooperation Center, which will facilitate the sharing of knowledge and experience between the two countries, as well as the organization of joint workshops, seminars, and forums. The center has the potential to serve as a regional hub for the development and implementation of innovations and new approaches to digital governance. Within the framework of the memorandum, the further development of the unified electronic services portal, my.gov.ge, is also planned. Together with Korean partners, Georgia will host a high-level workshop on artificial intelligence in early October. The event was also attended by First Deputy Minister of Justice Beka Dzamashvili, Deputy Minister Tamar Zodelava, Chairman of the LEPL Digital Governance Agency Sandro Tsirekidze, and Minister-Counselor of the Embassy of Georgia to the Republic of Korea Mikheil Tigishvili.

A delegation from Japan's Digital Agency, led by Parliamentary Vice-Minister for Digital Transformation Hideto Kawasaki, visited Georgia and held a meeting with representatives of the Ministry of Justice of Georgia. Deputy Ministers of Justice Lana Morgoshia and Tamar Zodelava briefed the Japanese delegation on the reforms implemented by the Ministry of Justice regarding the accessibility and digitalization of services. The discussion also covered the Ministry's operational priorities and significant innovations implemented in Georgia in the development of public services. It was noted at the meeting that to provide public and private services nationwide, 127 Public Service Halls, oriented toward user needs, are available, and 20 mobile Public Service Halls serve 90 villages to overcome geographical barriers. Services are also accessible in Public Service Halls opened within penitentiary institutions. More than 400 public and private services can be obtained through the unified electronic services portal MY.GOV.GE, and a "Smart Contract" system is in operation, which uses artificial intelligence to provide a remote means of registering private property. Attention was focused on the systemic land registration reform implemented in the country, which has achieved international success. According to the World Bank, the Georgian model of systemic land registration is exemplary on a global scale, and the National Agency of Public Registry has high potential to provide expert support to other countries. Within the framework of the reform, the National Agency of Public Registry carried out surveying work and registration of property rights for land plots free of charge for citizens in 59 municipalities across the country.
